4th DeviantArt Anniversary

7 months after the real Anniversary... I manage to finish this for real. I don’t know how much more FAIL I can be ‘OTL

So, this is my 4th DeviantArt Anniversary pic! Since last year, when I decided to make something special for this day, I thought it’d be a good idea to keep it as an anual tradition... As this date means a lot to me :3 UNFORTUNATLY, it seems that I’m ALWAYS horribly busy in October, so just as usual, I had a hard time last year to make this piece. I worked my ASS OFF to try to manage to finish this until the 25th, and as a result, I ended up doing it awfully rushed and crappily done >_>’ However, I was freaking tired of always being late with my works (when there was a deadline), so I thought I would just upload it as it was on the right day, and then later, when I had more time, I would get back to it and finish it properly. As you can see, I ONLY DID IT NOW. Oh, the irony, I made this crap all rushed to save time and not be late, and in the end, I just got even MORE LATE to fix it Next time, I’ll just work, no matter how long it takes, so at least it turns out good! >_<

Alright, back to what’s important! I kinda had the idea to make this one all of sudden... And since most of my best ideas come this way, I decided to go with it! xD Since it’s been my fourth Anniversary in DA, I turned out doing something FULL of symbolism with 4... With my FOUR Main OCs, all doing poses and showing FOUR fingers with their hands, each on their specific style reflecting their personalities Ann (Yu-Gi-Oh) got her cheerful and perky pose up, holding the four fingers in front of her; Aori (Naruto) is, as always, not very happy to be in such a mess... And she’s holding three fingers in one hand and one on another, because I figured it seemed like a very Ninja-ish pose, that matched her :3 Shiori-sensei (Naruto) is acting happily like usual, doing double “Victory” signs with her hands, which means two fingers on each, equals four XDD Aaaand... Well, since she’s the most discreet of my OCs and I simply didn’t had any idea what different pose she could be doing, Isabeau (Kingdom Hearts) is simply standing on a regular way, showing her four fingers too. I also tried to go a little different with expressions this time, so it wouldn’t look too similar to my last Anniversary pic; So, for example, instead of grumpy as usual, Aori is looking pretty bored. Yeaah, she doesn’t like being in the middle of the “parties” and stuff! ‘8D

Once again, the background was a bitch to me... x_x I had this concept from the beginning of doing one of those “shiny colorful dotted” backgrounds (kinda like Disco!), but it took me a long time to actually get it right... And I’m STILL not completely satisfied >_< I tried a gazillion of combinations for effects, colors, placement, borders, and in the end, this was the only one that turned out at least decent. If I kept on tweaking it, I wouldn’t be done not even in 2 years! D: Not only that was changed from the first “version” of this drawing, but I took the opportunity and fixed several things on the girls as well. Like Ann’s face shape, that was completely WRONG and messed up (as some of you know, I was having trouble with that a while ago... And I hopefully think I’m doing it right now), and her eyes... Aori’s chin too, and some smaller details on Shiori-sensei and Isabeau’s faces. NOW I think they’re looking nice! @_@ (I can’t help but think that Isabeau’s face looked better on my sketch... Probably because her eyes barely appear here because of her bangs ._.’ )

I hope you all like this, for me joining DA has brought many good things to me! So I obviously have to celebrate <3 Even though I’m submitting this outrageously late... I’ll see if for this October I start making my drawing 3 months early >_>
